Tuesday… a short post

Really because there is not a lot happening on the health front at the moment! I keep thinking that there are signs of GvHd, but I can’t be certain! Certainly my sense of taste is changing slightly, but there is no sign of the thickening of skin that heralded GvHd last time – but it is only 5 weeks since the infusion!

OliviaMy weight is slowly creeping up – I’m about 3lbs heavier, which equates to about a pound a week, a target Rachel the dietician said I should aim for. Other than that my stamina is getting better, and I am feeling stronger – although not quite ready for weight training!

It has been a while since I posted a photo of Olivia, not because I haven’t seen her, but there hasn’t been a lot of change (or perhaps seeing her nearly every day, I don’t notice it). FeetHowever Vicki took a lovely one of her recently, and here it is! The feet aren’t hers, they belong to ‘Albert le blanc’.

And talking of feet, you may have seen comments by Richard, and I am indebted to him for this image… which also appeared here,

ShaunThe new theme has generally received favourable comments. There were a few criticisms about the colour scheme and lettering, but these have been tweaked. However since it is a sheep motif, I thought these two images were particularly apposite. They are of course reproduced with due acknowledgement to the BBC, Arrdman Productions and anyone else who may hold copyright or intellectual property rights to them, but they amuse me Shaun and I hope they amuse you too! I like the one of Shaun loitering within tent!

Onwards and Upwards!

OK, OK what is the punchline? I mean………”A short post……………” ?

Will a short fence keep the sheep in, or out if you live on the moor and don’t want your flowers eaten.

    Hi Peter,

Just to let you know that we in ISS have not forgotten you and I continue to read your blog avidly !!

Very glad to hear you are putting on weight; but one advantage of being thin is that you would make an ideal candidate for a job in the Transformed HQ given the likely space available !!!!!

    All the best, John Martin

Hmmm – Sorry about that – I had about 250 spam comments over the weekend, which I analysed and entered the IP addresses into the blacklist – but I must have cut some legitimate IP addresses from the database (or legit IP addresses were forged) hence the block! If it is any consolation, I managed to block myself from the site at one point!

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again – and it worked, as you see and I can view your blog again! Olivia looks so sweet and to one, who has only seen her photos, she looks as if she is growing quickly.

Glad to hear that you’re feeling stronger too! Does that mean that you have no excuses for not finishing your garage clear-out?!

    Take care!

    Lots of love,
    Liz

Nice socks Richard – quite plain though, had you down as a more comedy sock wearer! Ones with sheep on would go down well with the theme!

Glad to hear all is well with you Peter – getting towards pimms o’clock now Spring is nearly upon us

I only had those on top of the pretty ones for the picture…….what can you see at 5 o’clock on a particular day. There are hundreds on the Radio 4 web page.

We need more sun as I am nearly out of Winter Pimm’s and being off alcohol until Easter should like to move to the usual Pimm’s recipe.

Time to dig out the Resort Recipe Book Peter.

I’m a bit worried about all these sheep, Peter – you must be feeling better!

(posting from work so this may not arrive if you don’t like my IP)
