Thursday… more ECP

I have just arrived home from another two sessions of ECP – all uneventful, apart from the fact that I got the timings right on an M&S curry, which was a distinct improvement on last time.

The highlight of the sessions though was a visit by Simon (ex BT) with all his news – the most important being a clear scan! Really good news Simon! The second bit was a chat about plans after his decision to leave BT. Sadly we weren’t able to go for a beer (or two) but our chat certainly made the two hours or so pass very quickly. Great to see you Simon!

Other than that, not a lot to report at the moment. The sun is shining, and I feel I ought to cut the lawn, but as it is still only a few hours from the second ECP session (and I am wearing sunglasses) it probably isn’t a good idea going out into the bright light – maybe tomorrow!

Onwards and Upwards!

Good news for Simon let’s trust that good results are catching.

Was truly good to see you Peter AND looking so well. The machinery was certainly impressive – shame it wasn’t a Youngs brew being pumped around!

We shall get to those beers soon I hope – and be careful re over doing stuff

    Hi Peter, Felicity and family.

I was invited to Hilarie and Rob’s for a barbacue yesterday which was held for Lydia’s 21st birthday. I was so pleased to meet up with other teachers from St. George’s and to have a chat about the time we were there together. As you may well imagine we talked a great deal about past pupils and I was pleased to be able to tell them that I have been keeping up to date with you all through Peter’s blog. It is so strange to see my ex pupils so grown up. Lydia is now engaged. Alex Medler was there and has grown into a fine young man. I can see from photos that your girls are just as gorgeous as ever.

Hilarie and Rob kept up their reputation as excellent hosts and we all
had a great time. The weather was kind for about 3 hours which meant the event took place outdoors but we are back to normal today with heavy rain.

    Love to you all

    Val Ashley
