Sunday… a week later

And where has the week gone? Good question, answers on a post card please (or a comment!). I did have the Monday and Tuesday off, and spent the days pottering doing minor jobs round the house and a bit of light gardening – including cutting the grass. Then it was back to work for the rest of the week. And talking of gardening, here are some of the tubs I planted out a couple of weeks ago.

GardenIt seems I might have been a little optimistic about my mouth, which has become sore again. I think I might have just been too adventurous with some food, and my cheeks have become sensitive again! So it is back to the scandishakes and soft food for a while.

Other than that, there is nothing to report healthwise which I suppose is reflected in the lack of posting, and that raises the question I posed last July (before the relapse) of “Where does the blog go from here?” However I’m not going to ask that (no point in tempting fate) as I am not out of the woods yet! However in the absence of medical news, I might just comment on things that are occupying me or of general interest! And of course, pictures of Olivia!

So onwards and upwards!

It won’t be long before the floor and garden are strewn with toys, and this case not the usual ‘boy’s’ that we know and love.
Is it this Thursday for the next check up, or have I lost a week?

Next week, the 14th! What was a spare bedroom is already becoming toy-haven!

Should the Blog be Peter’s Hospital Diary – you hardley spent any time there anymore!!!!!!!

Perhaps it should be “Olivia’s Granddad’s Diary”
any ideas from the other readers.

Also, whatever happened to the discourse on the great british bacon buttie – did anyone see Jonsathon Woss on friday andthe discussion about tomato ketchup he had with the F word guru.

Good luck to Rachel in her exams this week and next.

Well, when Olivia starts talking, next week I hear you say based on the gene pool available to her 🙂
then it will not be your anything but ‘Olivia’s’ Room. Just wait and is followed by the ‘why?’ period……
    Good luck for Thursday.
I am still experimenting with the espresso machine and bacon is now supplemented by kippers from Iceland (the store not country) which are very tasty, not too smelly and not too large. A pack only costs about £3.50. Bacon rolls and sandwiches were served at the Hospice car rally yesterday. Sharon, her indoors, when with my neighbour in their Ferrari. 20 years old but over 500 bhp one of only a handful built……..not very green, 12 mpg. But pretty all the same. I was on John duty and mowing.
