Wednesday… almost half way!

Tower BridgeAnd not much else to add to that – today was the 5th dose of radiation – 7 to go. However in the time honoured tradition of filling in space with a photograph, I have included the views from the flat where I am staying – which you will recognise as Tower Bridge by day and night!Tower Bridge
There was one other event of the day – I called in to see my friends at “City Hospital” and met up with Nicky. I have mentioned Nicky (and Rachel) before, but to recap, Nicky was the researcher for the first ever series and I was one of the first patients she researched in 2002 when I had the first transplant. She is now a producer! Rachel was also a producer but hasn’t been involved with the current series. It was good to catch up again (and a good cup of tea – thank you Nicky – just what I needed after the radiotherapy!)

So onwards and upwards!

Peter, how nice have you seen Carsten Höller’s stuff.

Round and down, but what a buzz?

F30 is really getting a grip now the Sun has lost its power and I do not need it as a screen.

    Hi Peter,
We met last week at Guy’s day unit.
My mum recognised you from City Hospital, which I was also on. I think there’s still a link on our site wwwlike2like.com.

I’ve just spent the last couple of hours going through your diary & found it interesting & very inspiring. I too am constantly trying to be positive about my ‘challenging situation’ & feel it really works for me.
This time next week I’ll be in Guy’s, with a new Hickman, having started my chemo in preparation for my MUD!!!
    Best of luck to you…
    Stay positive, strong & healthy.

    Sarah

    Sarah,

Thank you for the comment – my next visit to the clinic is in a couple of weeks, by which time you will be on the ward. Good luck – I hope it all goes well for you – and keep smiling!

(BTW – I have just looked at your site and put a link to it from the blog. I’ll mention it in tomorrow’s post)

(Richard – no I haven’t – I ought to toddle along to the Tate Modern and have a look!)
