Wednesday… Post ECP

I am back at work (a silly o’clock start this morning) after my two days of ECP, and a not particularly brilliant weekend suffering from snuffles, headaches etc – which thankfully seem to be getting better! However Felicity did sterling work in getting the Christmas tree up and decorated.

ECP itself was uneventful in the process, but the procedure was enhanced because of some staff training, carried out by Claire (a representative from the manufacturer Therakos) who was training two new staff to the dermatology day unit. I now know more about ‘buffy coats’ and psoralens (the UV activated drug that does the work) than I thought possible! Still, I have always tried to find out about my treatments, so it was another educational experience! The girls were all going out in the evening (an educational seminar?) so I hope you all had a good evening, and I suppose now is the time to wish Ian, Suki, Dawn, Emma and all the other staff (too many names to remember – sorry) who have looked after me for the last six months a happy Christmas!

London itself was cold – and the accommodation wasn’t much better – I don’t know if it was me, or the heating system, but the radiator didn’t seem to get above luke warm!

Rachael picked me up at Winchester on my way back – in her replacement car, a Fiat Punto. A “tidy motor” is probably as good a description as any – although that is probably doing it an injustice, as it seems to run well, and is a bit bigger than the Saxo – and lower insurance. But at least she is mobile again, and as Gill said in a comment, most importantly, no-one was hurt.

I am working for the rest of this week and a couple of days next, then I’m off for Christmas and the New Year.

So – Onwards and Upwards!

Glad that Rachael is OK with driving.

Nothing wrong with a ‘tiny motor’ it’s what you do with it that counts 🙂
