Tuesday… Season of mists

AutumnAlthough there isn’t much evidence of mellow fruitfulness in the garden (it was a good year for apples though) there was certainly some mist about as this photo, taken about 20 minutes ago, shows. It is quite nippy to, at a chilly 1 degree C, quite cold when compared with (say) Lausanne or Limoges, both at 5 degrees C. But it is warmer than it was; there was a layer of frost on the cars this morning. I’m glad I brought the geraniums in a couple of weeks ago!

However, the sun is starting to break through as I type, and the birds are hammering at the bird feeders, so I had better go and fill those up, and get some fuel in for the fire.

But it is a lovely morning – very much Onwards and Upwards!

Will this comment get through? Yes it is cold in Lausanne and very windy. Soon be time to get some wood for the fire.

Nice to see a photo of your garden.

Yes, there’s lots to read here! Enough to keep a newly unemployed lady busy between job searches on internet.

Lovely to see pics of you and Anne after so many years.

It’s no longer misty but very white…………..no snow (yet) hope you are all safe and the heating is working well.

No power cuts either so about to put the kettle on and to think about the week ahead as Vivienne has left the Great Graduate Unemployed and working on marketing the Liverpool Boat Show.

Very exciting but will have to share the launch with those attending a certain wedding at the end of April………..still waiting for my invite 🙂
