Sunday

Phew – busy week! First thing on the agenda was to complete my coursework. which should have been submitted last Sunday. However I was given a week’s extension while I was in hospital, and I finished it this evening. The other activity has been the preparations for the new job, which I hope will be starting on Wednesday. I have been sorting out the last few details, and now just need to sign the contract (initially three months) and I am hot to trot! I shall be commuting daily initially, but as it is a 150 mile round trip, I shall be looking for some short term accommodation.

Tomorrow I am up in London for two days of ECP, and also to have my cold monitored. I am still a bit snuffly, but I hope it isn’t anything serious – don’t need any show stoppers at the moment!

So lots of changes and new things to do – very much Onwards and Upwards!

Nothing worse than needing a loo on a long journey 🙂

Best of luck in sorting stuff out if you are doing a 75 mile trip it may be a good idea to have alternative routes in your head in case of problems (unless you have traffic info on your satnav, as an aside my neighbour’s former A3 had a built in system which was brilliant and even took you off the motorway on the maintenance roads to avoid hold ups………..we never worked out how it knew…..but it was a special car from Audi as her late husband had built their Auto Union replicas ( here a report http://www.essex-audi.co.uk/blog/audi-history/auto-union-silverarrow-type-d-at-goodwood-festival-of-speed/ ) He then had an S4 Avant which she still has and goes like a train, well with a 4.2 V8 it should but is very very outside the green camp —— I suppose he was an unreconstructed petrol head as he left her a very special Ferrari 512 which although from 1979 had only 3k on the clock and a beautiful AC Ace only spoilt as he had it sprayed purple as an indulgence to her favourite colour despite knocking a third off the value—— not at all green. But good fun
Sorry Gillian and the other ladies just sort of bloke’s stuff.

    Take care Peter

*yawn* sorry Richard – did you say something – I just heard a sort of buzzing sound !!

Now, if it was handbags you were talking about – that would be a different matter 😀

Hope the trotting is now a gallop

That’s red wine for you Gillian………….sorry just went off on one.

I don’t have a handbag can you recommend some as Peter may need a good supply to carry memory sticks and other stuff for work

Can’t see you on the BNP list so you must be ok 🙂 Well I knew that anyway.

Wow, you don’t waste any time,do you? One minute you’re in hospital and the next, you’re starting a new job! Anyway, on the first front, glad to hear you’re back home again, and on the second, congratulations and good luck! I hope it all goes well and that you manage to get some accommodation sorted out soon. I find a 40-mile a day commute more than enough, so I admire you doing 150.
    Take care!
    Lots of love,
    Liz
