Monday… Lost and Found!

Monday morning and I found my way back to work, down the snail trail that is otherwise known as the M27. A bit of a shock at the early start, but it was a mild morning so it wasn’t too bad.

However the best news is that I had a text from Simon, sent late last night, saying that he was OK, but had been away. I haven’t had a chance to chat to him, but he seems OK! The other good news is that I found a post from fellow blogger John who spent much of his Christmas in and out of hospital with his GVHD problems. John, good to see you are back and still fighting!

I was also delighted to hear from a friend from University, Barbara. Thank you for the comments! (on the previous post)

Onwards and Upwards!

Good to hear that Simon and John are still punting.

I am amazed that you remember University Peter, like the 60’s if you remember you weren’t there 🙂

    Best for 2008 and beyond.

Sorry to have worried you Peter. Was good to talk today and it’s great to see the Goudhurst Gramps had a good Christmas and New Year.

Gillian, I too could do with some of that fairy dust – any left over or did ‘grand pa’ nick all you had?

Tomorrow sees my half way mark on the chemo journey. was bought THE most moving book as a Christmas present: The Enduring Merlody by Michael Mayne – I recommend to anyone to read. – No Peter I’m afraid this one is NOT trashy ‘ kemo’ fiction!!!!!!!!!

    As you say peter O&U

No problems Simon – just glad to hear you are OK!

The Enduring Melody is perhaps not one to read while the chemo is going in, but from the reviews does sound vey moving.

Gillian, I think we need generaous sprinklings of fairy dust all round!

Leave you for 5 minutes and you are all running amok! Vast quantities of fairy dust liberally dusting you all – hope none of you have any allergies.

It appears 2008 is going to be a fighting to get fit year – eversuffering not so better half has been diagnosed with DVT, so your blog has been useful with it’s advice Peter! Most disgruntled as he doesn’t smoke drink or go on long exotic holidays (well, not that he tells me about anyway!)

And, daughter is going to be cured of her fairy ambitions – the surgeon is taking drastic steps to stop her walking on her tiptoes, as a result of which she will be encased in plaster for 6 weeks per leg (and she’s having teeth taken out ready for the fitting of braces!)

Personally, I’m mixing the fairy dust with leftover xmas drinks so that everything is nice and blurry!

Love and hugs to you all – wishing better health all round

    Gillain,

This blog will soon be an alternative to NHS direct but how does having your daughter’s teeth out help keep her trousers up (braces?)?

With your bloke having support stockings and daughter in plaster you will be doing all the running round will stop you worrying about how to get fit.

Lay off the F30 it makes your skin go white…………….soon will be Pimm’s o’clock with weather to match.

I will send my fairy dust to Simon, being better looking than me I would not normally be so generous as I need all I can get but in this case.

Simon the half way mark means that it will soon be over but the tiredness may get worse for a while, digits crossed.

Ricardo – thanks for the recommendations – still laying into the mulled wine, but will forego that for Pimms o’clock soon

Nhs direct has nothing on this 🙂

    Galleon

  8. Richard on 09 Jan 2008 at 10:23 pm #

Sailing, sailing come on Peter you should be good at this………hums tunelessly, as usual.

Bitter hen is my tipple tonight, Dad is in respite so I can relax and ………well what ever.

Back to digits crossed for everyone hopefully it has worked for Peter……..well I guess really his O+U has more to do with it, an example to us all.

Simon have some sprinkles via the Galleon, or was it a Gallon of Pimm’s???? 🙂
