Friday… They come round so quickly!

After Monday’s trip, I was still feeling a bit rough, so I agreed with my boss that taking out the rest of the office would be a bad thing, I have been at home all week, apart from a quick trip out on Tuesday to cash in the prescription (or should that be cash out?) I would have been hard pushed to drive anywhere though as the conjunctivitis was getting quite bad.

Although the antibiotics were prescribed “just in case” I started taking them anyway, and on Wednesday I had a call from Guy’s to say that there was definitely a bacterial infection up my nose but the antibiotics they had prescribed were the correct ones and could I start taking them please? When I said I had, they were pleased, however I have to go back next Tuesday just to make sure all is OK.

Those who follow John’s blog will have seen a comment posted by his ‘little sis’ that he has dug his way out of “Heath Towers” and is back at home, but feeling a bit low. O&U John.

Meanwhile Simon has just started his penultimate cycle of chemo. We had a chat today and he is in good sprits – and putting on weight! Crack on Simon!

So on those two items of good news – Onwards and Upwards!

Hope that the tablets are working and that you’ll soon be feeling tickety-boo (is that how you spell that?) again. Have a good weekend!

    Lots of love,
    Liz

    Gillian………pole dancing 🙂

Books and puzzles were the old fashioned way, what about a research project using Net and other sources?

If you are thinking of a holiday get her to research locations etc and with a budget let her choose, could be dangerous but perhaps stimulating.

Anyway why do you have to stand up???

One of my favourites……sitting in the sunshine listening on headphones to the Afternoon Play, depends on the subject.

If she has one racing wheelchairs in the shopping mall goes down well.

One of our neighbours across the valley was in Stoke Mandeville and they used to race them there in the corridors……..not popular with the medics though.
