Friday… again!

It has been another busy week – one where I haven’t been at home much!

It started on Sunday when I flew up to Manchester with Neil (another LeukaemiaCARE trainer) to stay with Suzanne (another LeukaemiaCARE trainer!) and her husband before we all drove up to Glasgow on Monday morning for Elspeth’s Funeral.

The funeral itself was a true celebration of a life well lived, and although it inevitably had its sad moments, it was not the mourneful occasion that it might have been. We drove back to Manchester on Monday afternoon, and Neil and I flew back to Southampton on Tuesday morning.

I was up at St Thomas’s on Wednesday and Thursday for more ECP. Uneventful – no dizzy spells or fainting, and I left in good time to get the train back home!

The sun is again shining as I type – although it is getting cold, and don’t forget that the clocks go back one hour to GMT on Sunday morning! Time to put the heating on! (and get out the Winter Pimms!)

Onwards and upwards!

Well good news to hear all went well on Wed and Thursday and your home safe and sound.

It was great having you and Neil with us, John and I really enjoyed your company, shame about the circumstances.

Know what you mean about the chill coming in so its aga up high, heating on, fire roaring and red wine breathing … who needs an electric blanket.

    Hope your week goes well

Winter Pimms – now, there’s a thought! It sounds as if we’ll need it with the impending wintry showers.

Glad all went as well as it could last week. I’m actually off to Manchester on Thursday. Beds permitting, Dad is due to have major back surgery there that day.

Hope the week goes well for you all down there!

    Lots of love,
    Liz

Ah, Pimm’s Winter Cup, a little spicy number from the Number 3 stable.

Ideal if you can afford to keep the Aga going to warm the mix and toast toes by whilst reading a saga (my poor version when asked to contribute to PM http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/pm/galleries/914/11/#gallery914

Still the Sun is shining today and next door’s gardener is making me feel guilty by collecting the leaves but I have Lewis (Grandson here to keep me in check)

I think I featured your toes here! Sadly no Aga here – but the underfloor heating in the conservatory has been good – not really needed though today – clear blue skies and sun streaming in!
