Sunday again…

But I’m a happy bunny as the coursework is finished and submitted, and the next module isn’t for another couple of months!

However the academic honours this week go to Rachael (youngest) who has passed her A levels and has a confirmed place at University next year (she wants to take a gap year) So well done Rachael!

This week at work has been busy, although it is the holiday season. However, this next week is the last on the current contract, so having been told that it will be extended I am now anxiously waiting, pen poised, for the documents to drop through the letter box! Next weekend also marks the end of my financial year, so I shall be closing the accounts and doing whatever needs to be done with them. I’m also going to try and sort out the software hotch potch on the server (you may recall that it is part Fedora Core 10, with FC 11 bits attached, and there are a few domestic jobs to be done too.

Meanwhile we were at a BBQ last night, and we are off to another one this evening, before I drive back to the flat. Oh yes, I jumped on the scales yesterday – a couple of ounces short of 11 stone!

So – in time honoured fashion… Onwards and Upwards!

Well done Rachael. At this time the gap year giving the economy 4 years to recover before seeking work is probably the best strategy.

You could try BBQ’d rabbit as it will help with the pounds for less pounds

Just don’t pour too much firelighter on the BBQ ……… or maybe it’s a good idea………

Well Done to Rachel … we’re just about to start on the exam path, year 10 and GCSE’s start to beckon, scary stuff… more for me than for my daughter!

Gooey puddings, they’re good for the poundage

    xx Gillian

Gillian, I know how you like uniforms so try Skin So Soft apparently used by the Marines, it keeps insects at bay too so you will be bite free and be perfumed like the soldiers too.

Richard………I am astounded, as always, by your wealth of knowledge!! How on earth did you know that? Have you personal experience of trying ladies toiletries until you happened upon this one??

So, were you in the jungle at some point in your trials? Or, did you just like to be heavily oiled???!!!!

    xx

I used to have an trainer who was ex SBS and taught us not to wear aftershave as “the enemy will smell you” . I was never quite sure who ‘The Enemy’ was but it sounded tough. 🙂

    Richard
As I am not sure who the enemy is I now use aftershave. 🙁

Is SBS a bit higher up than being SAS?

Gillian: not as high as the SZS in the first great misunderstanding…….

Spezielle Zeppelin-Staffel I admit is an invention to meet the theme but could be true as I have no idea what the title was of the early Zeppelin Corps.

Hey Gillian wake up we have to look out for Peter and Simon.

PS it is definitely true about Skin So Soft and the enemy smelling you, or me or whoever
