Peter's Hospital Diary

But I’m a happy bunny as the coursework is finished and submitted, and the next module isn’t for another couple of months!

However the academic honours this week go to Rachael (youngest) who has passed her A levels and has a confirmed place at University next year (she wants to take a gap year) So well done Rachael!

This week at work has been busy, although it is the holiday season. However, this next week is the last on the current contract, so having been told that it will be extended I am now anxiously waiting, pen poised, for the documents to drop through the letter box! Next weekend also marks the end of my financial year, so I shall be closing the accounts and doing whatever needs to be done with them. I’m also going to try and sort out the software hotch potch on the server (you may recall that it is part Fedora Core 10, with FC 11 bits attached, and there are a few domestic jobs to be done too.

Meanwhile we were at a BBQ last night, and we are off to another one this evening, before I drive back to the flat. Oh yes, I jumped on the scales yesterday – a couple of ounces short of 11 stone!

So – in time honoured fashion… Onwards and Upwards!

On my coursework! Felicity has gone to Wales to visit her brother, so I have stayed in the flat to do some writing up of the current piece of coursework. I’ll be going over there for lunch later.

This week has been quieter, although I have been staying late to do some more writing up. However, my contract ends in two weeks… there are moves to get it renewed for a further term, and I am reasonably optimistic, but it is getting close to the wire!

Health wise all is OK, although my mouth has become sore again, however I have my next check up soon, and I have some of the medication I used before, so I’m not unduly concerned.

That apart – all is well!

Just realised that it has been over a week since I last posted. It has been heads down on the coursework at weekends, and some late evenings at work.

After the visit by my parents, we had a quiet (but wet) weekend, but last Sunday the sun shone, so we had the first BBQ of the year. I’m not sure why we didn’t use it during the earlier spell of fine weather, probably because everyone was away at the time!

Not a lot else to report at the moment – healthwise everything seems to be ticking along nicely, with the next ECP session due in early September. I also have a lung function test booked then, so I need to try and synchronise the two.

I have also realised that I haven’t really had a holiday since last September, apart from a short break at Christmas/New Year and Easter, so we are looking at going away for a few days in September, after the ECP.

So apologies for the lack of news, but as they say, no news is good news – so…
