Congratulations on your house move :-)

Nice shaped house, well plaxced garage for parking too, and a wall in the garden from the garage.

Where's the sun? ( idon't mean in the pictures.. I mean generally? does it bathe that garage wall in summer? If so.... that gravel is gonna need pots all over it... maybe time to get some peas planted mate in grow bags.. you KNOW you want fresh peas :-)

I have fond memories of completing my master's dissertation. No clean crockery in the house .... but deadline met.

Good luck with the eyes.

Treatment for cataracts is usually very successful and as you alluded it is now possible to have a prescription lens in place to help.
I am not sure if this avoids the problem of age related presbyopia.
A surgeon from Harley Street, who also worked with Moorfields at the time said that they were working on solutions that allowed for more room in the eye for accommodation.
So if the short sightedness is cured you may need glasses for close work :(

Stay on your feet and press on

Take care

They are indeed! I thought mine were getting better, but there is still some (possinly irreversible) damage to my cornea. More serious are the cataracts, which mean that slowly but surely I am going blind. Fortunate really that modern medicine allows that to be treated!.

Been thinking of you - glad the move went (fairly) smoothly. I know how hard it can bee even if nothing goes amis, Lis moved three streets away into a bungalow just before Xmas, leaving her, my parents and the dog exhausted!!! Let me know your new address - possibly catch up sometime. Probably after my next surgery - other knee, hopefully in March.

Hi Peter, a new year indeed, you are sounding very positive and sounds like this is going to be your year! Changes are bittersweet, especially when it involves our relationships, but I believe that they happen for a reason and there is no looking or turning back! Can't wait to hear about your Istanbul trip. I always think a spot of travelling works wonders for discovering new horizons and the soul, so get that travel book out and start discovering the new wonders in this world.

All the best, and looking forward to reading about your new year and your new you.
